Incompany Data en Artificial Intelligence
Utrecht University offers customised education when developing a data science or AI model. We provide this education in-company or at one of our premises in Utrecht city centre or at the Science Park. We can guide all technical, ethical and legal aspects when developing a model, for example:
- Programming in R and Python
- Choice of algorithm and how to use it
- Preparing data
- Questioning
- Ethics
- Deploying large language models
- Cloud computing, data intensive systems, etc.
AI literacy
The European AI Act requires organisations to have sufficient AI knowledge in-house. To this end, we offer an in-company course on the technological, ethical and legal sides of AI. We gave an in-company course to employees of the municipality of Utrecht in 2025.

Utrecht University has developed and delivered incompany education to various ministries, municipalities, banks, large international companies in various sectors, research firms and other universities. “In an initial meeting with a client and representatives of the participants, we explore where the organisation is in the process and what needs there are. Then we get a picture of which phases should be covered extra,” says Laurance Frank.
“ Ideally, we would like to incorporate into the programme a moment where participants work with their own data. This can take the form of a return day. Then they can spar with our experts and we can guide them on their own cases.”
