Fundamentals of Global Health (Summerschool)
The course introduces participants to major public health challenges in lower- and middle-income countries. It provides an introduction to the aetiology, epidemiology, risk factors and public health importance of selected chronic non-communicable diseases, addresses major policy initiatives for international prevention and control of disease, and considers major health threats and challenges such as the impact of globalization and environmental changes.
Target Group
Our courses are aimed at clinical researchers, nurses, general practitioners, and other health professionals who want to improve their skills in epidemiology, statistics and (clinical) research.
Duration & Blended Learning
1 week, fulltime
This face to face course of Introduction to Statistics is offered via blended learning i.e. e-learning, computer practicals, exercises, self-study.
Questions on theory and exercises can be posted on the appropriate forum on the learning environment or asked during the computer labs in the afternoon (on location, attendance is optional). The exam will be on location (i.e. not online).
Once every two years
This course is offered once every two years. The next course will take place in the academic year 2025-2026.
