
Interpreting Blood and Urine Test Results in Companion Animals
Hands-on Training in Laboratory Diagnostics for Veterinary Professionals
This practice-oriented training is specifically designed for veterinarians and veterinary technicians who wish to deepen their knowledge and skills in laboratory diagnostics. Using realistic case studies, abnormal blood and urine parameters are discussed. Participants learn to formulate a differential diagnosis and assess whether it explains all abnormalities—forming the basis for an effective diagnostic and/or therapeutic plan.
Learning Objectives
After completing the program, participants will be able to:
- Interpret abnormal blood and urine parameters in dogs and cats
- Formulate a coherent differential diagnosis
- Develop an appropriate diagnostic and/or therapeutic plan
- Improve their diagnostic skills through case discussions
In daily practice, veterinarians and veterinary technicians frequently encounter complex laboratory results. This training offers the opportunity to strengthen interpretation skills under the guidance of an expert, leading to better patient care and increased confidence in diagnostic decisions.
